YOUR CHALLENGE
Choose a 60-second to 3-minute scene from Bladerunner and rebuild its soundtrack. Using recorded dialogue, Foley, sound effects, ambience and original music, create a complete soundscape that supports the images and tells the story. Your finished scene will be screened in class and uploaded to Dream Big Vimeo.

GROUP
Work alone or with one partner (1–2 students).
LENGTH
60 seconds to 3 minutes, using a scene from Blade Runner.
ADR / VOICE
Include at least one original voice recording to practise ADR.
SOUND EFFECTS
Include at least three sound effects. At least ONE must be original Foley recorded by you; other effects may come from online libraries.
ORIGINAL MUSIC
Create an original score in GarageBand or Logic Pro.
AMBIENCE
Include appropriate ambient/background sound to establish the environment.
RECORDING QUALITY
Aim for clean, well-recorded audio using Zoom recorders and microphones.
FINAL FORMAT
Export the finished scene as H.264 MP4 video and upload it to Dream Big Vimeo.

Before submitting, check that your podcast:
Scene is 60 seconds–3 minutes and comes from Blade Runner.
The original scene soundtrack has been replaced with the new sound design.
At least one original ADR voice recording is included.
At least three sound effects are included; one or more is original Foley.
An original GarageBand or Logic Pro score is included.
Ambience is included where appropriate.
All sound layers are mixed, edited and balanced.
Finished H.264 MP4 is uploaded to Dream Big Vimeo.
