Open the Short Film Analysis Presentation Criteria and read the assignment requirements carefully.
Browse the Afterschool Film Showcase on Vimeo and choose one short film to analyse.
Watch your film more than once.
Complete the Film Analysis Worksheet as you prepare.(paper copy in class)
Your analysis must include:
at least one point about the story
at least two technical elements
specific examples from the film to support your ideas
Remeber- for each technical element, include:
CHOICE: What did the filmmakers do?
EVIDENCE: Where do you see or hear it?
EFFECT: What does the choice contribute to the film?
Prepare a guiding question or idea for the class to think about while they watch your film.
Check your work against the Assignment Criteria before you are ready to present.
