BRAINSTORM: FInd Podcast Brainstorm & Pitch worksheets. Explore several possible ideas for a 3–5-minute narrative podcast before choosing your strongest concept.
DEVELOP YOUR STORY: Complete the brainstorming and story-planning worksheets. Consider your genre, characters, setting, central conflict, hook and story structure.
PLAN YOUR SOUND DESIGN: Think about how listeners will imagine your story without images. Identify opportunities to use dialogue, ambience, Foley, sound effects and music.
PREPARE YOUR PITCH: Be ready to explain your story's premise, characters, conflict and how you will use sound to bring it to life.
You will pitch your podcast idea to the class. Your pitch should communicate:
Your working title, genre and story premise.
Your main characters and central conflict.
What happens in the story and what's at stake.
How sound design will communicate important moments.
Why your idea can be completed in 3–5 minutes.
Listen to questions and feedback from your classmates. Make any necessary revisions and move on to the next lesson.
